Our team learned about the issue of families not having enough by the organization ICNA Relief itself. We found that many don’t have as much as what’s needed during this month so we decided to help solve this issue.We met with multiple organizers from ICNA Relief NJ to help plan this event as well as going to their local offices to help better support their operations.We h ave now established a running relationship with the ICNA Relief volunteers and look forward to continuing doing this annually.
Our SIA team collaborated with ICNA Relief to collect supplies and make food bags for families in the area who don’t have enough food for the month of Ramadan. The goal was to make the holy month easier for these families by addressing their food needs.
